    Consumers keep buying in July – retail sales data points to a better than expected start to the second half of 2010

    Data released by the Office for National Statistics shows that retail sales volumes grew by 1.1 per cent in July compared to June, extending the run of better sales growth that had begun in May.

    Almost 3000 thousand businesses across the South West have been helped to cut up to £17 million from their energy bills, thanks to a programme run by the South West RDA.

    Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk has today announced a £1.5 million investment in the development of wave energy technology during a visit to the South West RDA’s Wave Hub project at Hayle.

    Mark Prisk, Minister of Business and Enterprise today (29 July) announced that the South West RDA would invest £2.5m in two projects based at University College Falmouth (UCF) and University of Exeter’s (UoE) Tremough campus.
